The XX - Dangerous Lyrics/Phonics Listening Practice

This is a worksheet for ESL SS started from kids. Teachers/Tutors say the name of each picture and SS need to listen to it, try to circle the letter of its spelling, color the picture, and try to make a sound of each word/picture (REPAT AFTER ME). It is very good to train the phonics (A-Z) and the spelling of each words. Also, it is fun since they need to color the picture and it can be done in a team or in pairs.

After students learn the phonic sounds for individual letters, the next logical step is to focus on CV, VC and CVC patterns.



This worksheet introduces consonants with e in three-letter words, coming in various different locations. As before, these words are words that are introduced earlier on in the unit, and every word has a colorful illustration! Students first review the phonic sounds, and use focused repetition to write out the assortment of patterns, gradually giving fewer hints as repetitions go on. The activity finishes with a fun and speedy sight-reading activity for extra pronunciation practice and reading speed. Kids love these simple, focused challenges and the chance to show off their skills.
