Main grammar points to know: inversion, mixed conditionals, modals in the past, all passive forms, phrasal verbs (all patterns), wish/if only for regrets

I downloaded and adapted an online article about a criticism of the travel photos people usually post on social media. I created a vocabulary exercise, some comprehension questions and then I added a few photos of the campaign which the article mentions. Prior to the last exercise, the teacher should revise useful expressions to describe photos in English with the class, such as "It seem as though.../as if..." "In the foreground/background I can see..." "What these photos have in common is...", etc.

Picture-based reading comprehension test for elementary learners. Can be used with young learners as well as teens or adults. Students look at 5 photos and answer 25 questions. Useful for checking basic understanding and reading skills.

A photo with exercises to describe it - choose the correct option, fill the blanks, answer the questions. Set to landscape. If you haven't yet taught modals (might etc..), get the students to make inferences using 'maybe'.

A worksheet in which the students try to figure out which city is which by looking at a photo of each city. 



There are then two writing assignments which could be used as IELTS speaking part 2 instead.
