Photos

A series of photos taken from pixabay. There are various exercises to complete and then some photos for your students to describe. I have also uploaded this series of photos to help with inference and using modals. 

Describing photos

The worksheet helps develop speaking skills. Doing exersises, step by step young learners become able to describe the photo presented in the worksheet. Also the can bring their photos with thier beloved pets and talk about them, describing the photos.

SPEAKING ABOUT PHOTOS

Teacher divides the students into a's and b's and gives each a photo accordingly. Students then work in pairs and describe the photo, students must not show the photo to their partners. The worksheet contains some useful words and a tip to help students describe the photo.

Describe the photo

A reading comprehension about a lady who is reminiscing on her wedding anniversary. A true or false about the picture, then a RC passage. Present and future tenses.  A key is included.

A set of exercises around a central photo: answering the 'wh' questions and then making inferences. My students can't get enough of this type of activity. I want them to be able to write something about absolutely anything and this is good practice!

Main grammar points to know: inversion, mixed conditionals, modals in the past, all passive forms, phrasal verbs (all patterns), wish/if only for regrets

Learners who can smoothly communicate in every walk of life, read long texts and write well

Learners taking the C2 Proficient exam should be able to:<ul><li>Understand almost everything read or heard with ease.</li><li>Summarize information from a variety of sources into a coherent presentation.</li><li>Express themselves using precise meaning in complex scenarios.</li><li>Can express him/herself spontaneously, very fluently and precisely, differentiating finer shades of meaning even in the most complex situations</li></ul>
