This worksheet was made by me. It features a reading and writing exercise about a woman who is having a holiday at a foreign country. She describes some places that she visited and what she did during her vacations. The grammar focus of this worksheet is past simple. The reading contains two exercises one which is multiple choice and the second is   a  true and false exercise. Also, in the writing exercise the learners have to make use of linking words which were already taught during the previous classes before I gave this task. However, if you prefer you can start to introduce the connectors while you teach students how to write postcard letters.

This is an expanded version of postcards that bettylafea has made earlier. My humble contribution comes in form of tasks for reading comprehension. The worksheets are going to be used at the English stations in my classroom, writing station, to be more precise. Hopefully, some of you can use my tasks, too.:)

It's a good exercise for mixed-ability groups. A postcard in two versions for weaker and stronger Ss within the same group. It can also be used for spelling practice. The key is included. Have a nice week-to all of you ;)

Holiday Postcard 47 a,b

Again a multi-level worksheet with 2 versions of the same exercises for mixed ability groups. VersionA for weaker Ss, version B for stronger ones. You may decide to hand out the versions to your Ss or let them choose for themselves. There are four new tasks with vocabulary and improving dictionary skills. The key is included. 

Note: One extra task proceeds the key-it's another version of task 3 mostly for weaker Ss. It can also be used as a warm-up during your next lesson or as a kind of vocab test. Another idea: You can also cut up the sentences and share among your SS to help them interrogate their partners or a short test again.

This is a typical structure of a simple postcard. It helps students have basic ideas about postcard writing. It provides a clear guide on what to write and how to write a postcard 

Ss will have to work in pairs to complete the info gaps in their postcards. They read out some meaningful chunks rather than single words. A great reading and spelling excerise. It can also be used as a warm-up exercise. The key included.

In this worksheet students are given a model of a postcard, a couple of postcards, which students have to complete using cues, speaking practice task to tell about vacation and a template to write a postcard.
