Present continuous reading comprehension

in this exercise, students should only use the past simple and past continuous tense of the verbs provided in brackets and according to the rules their teachers have already presented to them and fill in the blanks. they could also ask questions about every picture or person in the picture and elicit as many questions as possible. The pictures could also be used to practise other tenses such as the present continuous tense.Eg. "what is Emma doing in picture 12?" Students could describe the pictures or their teachers could use them as flash cards and hand them out to their students who could then play a game. Eg."Guess what Emma is doing in my flash card".

Past Simple and Continuous

An exercise to practise the meaning of wh question words an the formulation of question in Present Continuous. 

Students start by connecting wh words to the correct pictures to assess the understanding  meaning. 

In exercise B students must complete the questions with the correct question word paying attention to the answer. In this way they get more involved in using the correct word and at the same time continue drilling the question form. The main sentence is always the same so that they concentrate in the question word.

In exercise C, students have to write the complete question.

Present Perfect Continuous Exercises

Students are supposed to copy the sentences into their notebooks and put the verbs in brackets into the present continuous tense. All the verbs are affirmative but, you can ask your students to turn them into the negative form or simply ask questions and elicit their answers-negative as well as positive.

Produce clear, well-structured, detailed text on complex subjects, using linking phrases (=words that connect ideas between sentences). Main grammar points to know: inversion, mixed conditionals, modals in the past, all passive forms, phrasal verbs (all patterns), wish/if only for regrets

Learners who can smoothly communicate in every walk of life, read long texts and write well

Learners taking the C2 Proficient exam should be able to:<ul><li>Understand almost everything read or heard with ease.</li><li>Summarize information from a variety of sources into a coherent presentation.</li><li>Express themselves using precise meaning in complex scenarios.</li><li>Can express him/herself spontaneously, very fluently and precisely, differentiating finer shades of meaning even in the most complex situations</li></ul>
