Tongue twisters with the letter B. This ESL/EFL worksheet offers some tongue twisters for younger leaners. I hope you and your students will enjoy it a lot! Have fun!

Tongue twisters with B

Pair Work exercise useful for practising speaking and listening skills and giving/following instructions. Put students in pairs and give each half of the worksheet. Student B tells student B where to go on the grid and what to write or draw. Make students can not see each other´s sheet. This ws allows the whole class to practise simultaneously. At the end of the exercise, Ss should compare their answers to the teacher´s answer sheet. This ws focuses on food, fruits and vegetables.

Diphthongs

In this worksheet, students have to link 24 adjectives with their  synonyms of "very sth" (for example, "starving" is a synonym of "very hungry").

In the second exercise, they have to put this new vocabulary into practice by completing sentences with the same synonyms of the first exercise.

As an ESL teacher I often find that a lot of worksheets in activity books lack enough activities and are filled with a lot of empty space. The activities that are provided take a few seconds to do before moving onto the next page and rarely review or expand on what they have learned.

These phonics worksheets were created to give students a wide range of activities that would allow them to improve their writing, reading and comprehension skills and to increase their vocabulary. Each section builds on the last, starting with the basic writing practice to reading a short story for which they will illustrate later. I have had great success in using them with my own students, especially for those that lack focus and it also gives them a good sense of progression as they work their way towards the final activity.



In my own classes I try and use the worksheets in the following way, but feel free to use them however feels most beneficial to your own students:



Before handing out the worksheets check what vocabulary the students already know for the given letter.



Demonstrate how to write the uppercase and lowercase letter on the board.



Introduce the 5 new vocabulary



Give a short explanation of each of the 4 activities.



Most students should be able to go through the worksheet by themselves once they have done it once.



Note: If some students are completing parts too quickly, ask them to call for the teacher to check once they have completed a single activity.

Revision- ee oo and ar sound

It is a worksheet that will hel students to write the prices and to practice how much they cost. Students will be able to practice writing and they can also read them to improve their pronunciation.

How much is it?

The idea is to have the pupils work individually or preferably in pairs/groups and ask each other the questions. To find the answer, they have to read and understand the phonetically written answers.
