It's a puzzle about city places and what you do in each of them, very funny way of practising town vocabulary. I stick it on a piece of foam so this way the pieces are thicker. Hope it's useful :)

Puzzle city1

It's a map puzzle. Teacher has to prepare the answer sheet before the activity. Just fill in the blanks as you like, or you could assign some advanced student to answer the questions or give the privilege of preparing the answer sheet to some student. Students need to ask teacher questions to get the information of the whole city map. EX: Ss: Where is the supermarket? T: It's next the the post office. Ss: Where is the post office? T: It's across the 7-11.

City Map Puzzle

In this activity, students are presented with a photo of a city during a black out and a few questions to start a discussion and introduce the context. There is also key vocabulary and a story set in text boxes that have been disorganized for students to re arrange in the correct order. It is a complex activity that will require some time, so consider giving it abour 45 mins depending on student level. It can be done individually or in pairs/groups, printed or online.
