Holes Puzzle WebQuest

This is a picture/word association crossword puzzle based on The Little Mermaid Musical Play Book (Scene 3 primarily). The words are provided and students only have to understand what words go with which pictures, so it is pretty good for students still just learning how to read and don\'t necessary have words memorized.



I use this with students age 7-9. 



None of the images or words should be locked, it can be fully edited to change the pictures to something your students might prefer.

DEFGHI Vocabulary Puzzle

This task can be used at your lesson when you need both to entertain your learners and check the level of their knowledge on this theme. It's a fun activity and considered to be a flashcard during the vocabulary revision. I use it usually as warming up of my pupils. Moreover, you can ask the children to make up their story with these words afterward.

City & Town Puzzles 

This is a worksheet to be done in pairs or small groups of three or four. You can cut this story up in various ways, grading the exercise to the level you are teaching.

NOTE - I advise keeping a printed copy for yourself as it can be hard to piece it together yourself- particularly if constrained by monitoring more than one group or pair of students!

Main grammar points to know: inversion, mixed conditionals, modals in the past, all passive forms, phrasal verbs (all patterns), wish/if only for regrets

Learners who can smoothly communicate in every walk of life, read long texts and write well

Learners taking the C2 Proficient exam should be able to:<ul><li>Understand almost everything read or heard with ease.</li><li>Summarize information from a variety of sources into a coherent presentation.</li><li>Express themselves using precise meaning in complex scenarios.</li><li>Can express him/herself spontaneously, very fluently and precisely, differentiating finer shades of meaning even in the most complex situations</li></ul>
