This is a task based on the topic food. It has three activities where the students are going to do a brainstorming, then create a menu for a restaurant, and complete the food pyramid. I hope your students like this task!

Food task

Spelling activity intended for adult literacy students. I designed this activity as part of a lesson on the food pyramid and basic food groups.

SMART SNACK AT SCHOOL

The lesson, London Wonders, for the 8th Grade, is a single-session unit focused on introducing students to famous London landmarks and developing their listening and descriptive writing skills. The session begins with a Pre-reading task where students label pictures of world wonders (like The Eiffel Tower and The Pyramids) and match them with historical facts to form descriptive sentences. The core of the lesson is a Listening comprehension activity, where students watch a video about London's famous sites, such as the London Eye and Westminster Palace, and complete tasks like correcting false statements (e.g., about the number of capsules or the name of the river) and labeling pictures of the landmarks. The final Post-listening task is a creative writing exercise where students imagine they visited London for two days and write diary entries, utilizing hints to structure their writing by mentioning dates, key events, and describing their feelings.

Produce clear, well-structured, detailed text on complex subjects, using linking phrases (=words that connect ideas between sentences). Main grammar points to know: inversion, mixed conditionals, modals in the past, all passive forms, phrasal verbs (all patterns), wish/if only for regrets

Learners who can smoothly communicate in every walk of life, read long texts and write well

Learners taking the C2 Proficient exam should be able to:<ul><li>Understand almost everything read or heard with ease.</li><li>Summarize information from a variety of sources into a coherent presentation.</li><li>Express themselves using precise meaning in complex scenarios.</li><li>Can express him/herself spontaneously, very fluently and precisely, differentiating finer shades of meaning even in the most complex situations</li></ul>
