Basic quantifiers and when they are used, with examples and translation to Greek. I find it extremely useful with my students, who hang it up on the wall above their desks and try to learn it this way.

Discuss the correct usage of so, such, such a, and very before completing worksheet. Students find it difficult to use these words correctly- so they should be used sparingly. There is a black and white and a key.

This worksheet practices some, any, a, an. The students look at the picture and then make sentences with the given words.

You can also download my worksheet "flour and flowers" which introduces the theory of quantifiers. In order to do this exercise, the students must look at the pictures and match them with the proper sentences. There are two series of pictures and sentences, one for COUNTABLES and one for UNCOUNTABLES.



Once this is done, the students can fill in the table in order to revise more quickly the next time they need to.

Three exercises to practise sentence formation, quantifiers and wh questions. The intention for the first one is to provoke thinking about sentences and appropriate verb forms. The second one is to practise quantifiers. The third exercise is to practise wh questions. My students somehow find this very difficult since they forget that they should use the question form. Tell them to pay attention for Who as a subject of a sentence. I hope it helps :)

Use language flexibly and effectively for social, academic and professional purposes. Understand a wide range of demanding, longer texts. Produce clear, well-structured, detailed text on complex subjects, using linking phrases (=words that connect ideas between sentences). Main grammar points to know: inversion, mixed conditionals, modals in the past, all passive forms, phrasal verbs (all patterns), wish/if only for regrets

Learners who can smoothly communicate in every walk of life, read long texts and write well

Learners taking the C2 Proficient exam should be able to:<ul><li>Understand almost everything read or heard with ease.</li><li>Summarize information from a variety of sources into a coherent presentation.</li><li>Express themselves using precise meaning in complex scenarios.</li><li>Can express him/herself spontaneously, very fluently and precisely, differentiating finer shades of meaning even in the most complex situations</li></ul>
