Here are 50 questions for Snakes and Ladders.  Please prepare blank "Snakes and Ladders" template with 50 spaces. Questions are all "Name 3 words" such as

Snakes and Ladders 50 Questions - Name 3 Word Game

Revise tenses using the time honored game monopoly. First distribute the sheets with the assigned hotels . If somebody ends up in a hotel must answer the questions at random of the hotelier. Money can be gained or lost answering the questions saying if they are correct or not. The hotelier gains the money in case of wrong answers. When the questions run over the winner is the one with the maximum sum of money left.

This worksheet goes along with the polite requests board game.  This gives a basic overview of polite requests, including various examples of common polite requests.

Polite Requests

Cut out the cards. If you want to you can laminate them.

Divide your class into 2 groups. Form a double circle (inner and outer circle). The pupils in the inner circle get the white cards and the ones standing in the outer circle the grey ones.

You may use a signal (like a bell) to start the game. The teams start asking each other questions. They should alternate so that everybody asks questions and gives answers. (In this connection the pupils can also practice conversation phrases like "It's your turn", "What about you?", "Mine, too.", "Interesting", ...)

After some time you ring the bell again and the inner circle moves one partner to the left or right. And they start again asking their questions.

The partners who agree in 3 categories will be the speed date of the day. (key included)

Speed dating simple present

3rd set of questions - in case you have a large group and want to avoid boredom. In this role play we’re gonna pretend to go to a Green Card Interview. We’ll need three characters: A wife, a husband and an immigrations officer. Great for practising asking and answering past simple and continuous questions.



If you've seen the movie Green Card with Gérard Depardieu and Andie MacDowell, you know that immigrants sometimes marry US citizens to get a green card to be able to stay and work in the States, and they have to pass an interview where they prove their marriage is real. 



Pair up students (husband-wife) and have them meet an immigrations officer separately. Before the interview they have 10 minutes to prepare their story together. They'll be asked 10 questions. In the interview both students have to tell the exact same story, because if the officer finds 3 differences in their stories, the wife will be deported back to her native country.

Green Card Role Play (3rd Set of Questions)

**Description of Present Simple**

The present simple tense is used to describe habitual actions, general truths, and routines. It is formed using the base form of the verb for all subjects, except for the third person singular, which adds an -s or -es (e.g., "he walks," "she watches"). 

Common uses of the present simple include:

1. **Habitual Actions:** "I go to the gym every day."
2. **General Truths:** "Water boils at 100 degrees Celsius."
3. **Scheduled Events:** "The train leaves at 6 PM."
