This worksheet contains a joke and several randomly chosen questions. I use the questions to warm my students up and alongside with the joke I use the whole worksheet when we discuss jokes, laughter, sense of humour etc. So far, it´s proven very useful to me:-)

I put students in groups of 4 or 8 and each group has a pack of speaking cards. They pull a card out of the bag and they have to speak for a predetermined amount of time about the topic on the card. Pictures are there for better presentation, otherwise they use their imagination and they don't describe the picture, but speak freely. Also, they have some cues/questions to help them.

They choose the best one from each group to speak in front of the whole class later.

Word search random (Move it 3) review Units 5-9

I created this game to give the usual can or can’t lesson a funny twist. I had a lot of games and material and exercises with various can or can’t sentences, so I picked some out and gathered them together on this grid. Print the grid and cut it out, put it in a bag and get the students to pick one each. You can either get them to do it themselves and “prove” to the class that they actually can do what the slip of paper they picked says, or you can get them to pick a random classmate and ask them the question on the slip of paper. The picked classmate will then need to prove to the classroom that they can or can’t do what the slip says.

This worksheet contains 18 conversation cards and a matching exercise. The cards can be cut out if desired and be used as conversation questions. Can be used with both young learners and adults (pre-int to upper-intermediate). Suitable for teens, university students and adults. I usually cut up the questions and put them in the middle of the table. Students take a question in turn and read it aloud, so the others need to listen carefully and the ´reader´ needs to pronounce well. Then I let students answer the question - either students volunteer or we pick one at random (make sure everyone gets involved). After the questions I sometimes give a handout to each student in order to do the matching exercises discuss the quotes.
