You`re beautiful

This is the song Do Re Mi from The Sound of Music along with a Japanese translation.  At the end there is also a short explanation of the difference between the English song and Japanese song and a note talking about how songs can be a powerful tool for English study.  I have been doing this song with my Elementary school students.  To help them learn the song I made a karuta game with the main part (I say "Do" and they need to slap the card with "a deer, a female deer.)

A mix of activities centered in the verb to be. It is quite usefull when working with adolescents. There they have to choose the correct option, order the sentences and fill in the gap to complete the activities.

A short exercise in which Ss must rearrange the words given into cleft sentences to emphasize one particular part. Includes an answer key and can be adapted for contrast by re arranging the sentences as a simple sentence and then as cleft sentences with "is"
