Kids just love making crafts, so we love to make crafts part of our activities in our English school in Japan. We made a super-cute 3D reindeer Christmas card.



Kids can practice asking for the necessary items, and practice writing their own names and the names of other people, which makes this craft activity perfect for even very low-level learners.



The attached file is for the back of the card.



You\'ll also need the following:

Construction paper for the background (we like green on white)

Brown construction paper (for the head)

Yellow or orange construction paper (for the antlers)

White dot stickers (for snow)

Scissors

Googly eyes, printed eyes, or black marker

Stapler

Double-sided tape dispenser or glue

Colored puff ball (red if you make Rudolph)

Letter to Santa

This worksheet introduces learners to the story of Santa Claus and his helpers during Christmas. It provides a simple paragraph describing Santa, Mrs. Claus, the hardworking elves, Rudolph the red-nosed reindeer, and Santa's sleigh full of toys. The aim is to help learners practice reading comprehension and build vocabulary related to Christmas traditions. Following the paragraph, there are three questions designed to check understanding and encourage learners to engage with the text. This activity is perfect for ESL learners at a beginner level.

Christmas Reading Worksheet

I made Christmas cards with different Christmas characters on them. The class stands in a circle. One student stands in the middle. The student must then say "Santa switch with Rudolph" (or whatever two characters). The two switch while the student in the middle must try to steal one of their spots. The person that doesn't get a spot is then in the middle.

Each student gets 4 cards to start out with. The rest go in a pile in the middle. The student must ask to someone specific "Do you have Reindeer--Rudolph?" They have to get 4 of the same item and then they have a Happy Family.

Rudolph's origin story

1. Print the boardgame. 2. Cut out the cards, characters (tokens) and dice. 
How to play: Each player chooses a character piece to play with.
All participants throw the dice to decide who starts the game. The highest number starts. 
Each player throws the dice to walk on the board. Then they  need to use the vocabulary given in a sentence or they pick a card from the deck to answer a question.
 If a player can’t use the vocabulary or answer the questions in ENGLISH, they must go back to the START square.
The player who gets first to the FINISH square wins the game.
