I used some of the resources from the page TED-ED, added my own vocab exercises and additional questions.



I plan to add grammar to a 1,5h lesson, e.g. wish or 2nd conditional, because the videos sound like a good topic to start talking about "I wish I were more confident...", "If I were you, I'd try..."

I've got the buzzer from my French family game so I can use it with my new cards. Of course if you don't have a buzzer you can always play with a buzzer on your computer!

Rules:

Time's Up! is a charades-based party game for teams of two or more players



In each round, team members take turns trying to get their teammates to guess as many names as possible in 30 seconds.

In round 1, almost any kind of clue is allowed, and the cluegiver cannot pass on a card.

In round 2, no more than one word can be used in each clue (but unlimited sounds and gestures are permitted); the cluegiver can pass on any card he likes, and the teammates can give only a single answer.

In round 3, the cluegiver can use no words at all and can pass as often as he likes; again, teammates are allowed only a single guess.

This lesson teaches the Past Simple and the th- sound.  I use this lesson with the Let's Go 4 book.  Each student gets a speaking card and a question card.  The first student reads the card and asks the questions. The other students have to listen and answer the questions.  Then the next student reads his or her card and asks the questions.

A nice activity to show the different ways of pronouncing words with TH sound. After doing the exercise the students will watch a funny commercial which includes the use of TH sound.

Our free phonics worksheets called ABC Phonics Scramble help students not only remember the phonic sounds for each letter, but also their understanding of how to write lowercase letters. The random assortment of letters in the sheet can also be used a a timed reading activity for teachers to test childrens’ recall of the phonic sounds for the letters. These worksheets are a great way to improve both writing and phonics skills!

Produce clear, well-structured, detailed text on complex subjects, using linking phrases (=words that connect ideas between sentences). Main grammar points to know: inversion, mixed conditionals, modals in the past, all passive forms, phrasal verbs (all patterns), wish/if only for regrets

Learners who can smoothly communicate in every walk of life, read long texts and write well

Learners taking the C2 Proficient exam should be able to:<ul><li>Understand almost everything read or heard with ease.</li><li>Summarize information from a variety of sources into a coherent presentation.</li><li>Express themselves using precise meaning in complex scenarios.</li><li>Can express him/herself spontaneously, very fluently and precisely, differentiating finer shades of meaning even in the most complex situations</li></ul>
