This is something I did for a lesson in which we made a fruit salad. There are pre and post salad activities. It's aimed to young learners.

Fruit Vocabulary & Fruit Salad Recipe

This is a very fun activity you can do with your class! You and your young students will have a lot of fun ‘cooking’ some salads. I cut out the ‘ingredients’ and gave out some glue sticks. The way I organized the activity is that the teacher was the seller, and the children, split up in pairs, were ‘going to the market’ and trained asking questions such as “Have you got _ (for example, peaches)?” or “I would like some _”. After collecting enough ingredients, the students glued in them in their bowls of salad and wrote down the recipe, then presented their salad for other students.
