Wordsearch - Leisure

The worksheet is based on the adapted article from the Economist describing the most popular activities during the lockdown and their possible influence on industries after the quarantine. The tasks are aimed at developing reading comprehension. Students read the article about self-improvement and wellness courses and fill in the gaps with the missing sentence parts. Worksheet includes vocabulary assignment as well comprehension check (true or false statements). Finally, students research types of pastime during the lockdown in their country.

A word search as a follow up activity for New Tiger 2, unit 4. Pong is one of the characters in the book. Students find the words and them sort them up in the correct box.

This activity involves students role-playing as journalists and celebrities, conducting interviews to practice English. The idea of this word search is that as the children find each colour they can have that coloured crayon and can start to make the princess's dress beautiful.  You may need more than one set of crayons!  Good luck.

Halloween Word Search 1

This worksheet is designed to helped students learn to navigate internet search tools such as Google and Wikipedia to find out simple information about common celebrities. The ones provided were known to my students at time time, feel free to change them. The last place is for a celebrity of their own choosing. I usually follow this up with a homework assignment for another NEW celebrity that they write a paragraph about and bring to class.

There is three pages to this wordsearch. The first page is the puzzle itself. The second two pages and what you can give the students. You can either give them the words that they are looking for or just give them the one with the first letter and see what words they can find. Set a time limit and see which group has the most at the end to give some points.

This is the capital letter version. 



Find and circle each of the eight colors (red, orange, yellow, green, brown, pink, purple, blue). After your student has found and circled the correct word, they can get writing practice by writing the word two times!
