A basic fill-in-the-blanks (cloze) activity in which students give general information about themselves and their likes and dislikes. Popular with students aged 10 - 14. After they have completed the worksheet I do a "speak for 30 seconds without stopping exercise" in which they can read off their paper but must not stop speaking for 30 seconds. Gets them talking which is great

I have created a worksheet to help students introduce themselves. It consists of a set of questions starting from name and age, and ending with job and preferences. I have also included "hints", a word bank, for some of the answers.

This worksheet is good for speaking practice. It can be used for either introducing oneself to the whole group or as an interview exercise. This worksheet can be used as a whole class activity: give students some time to prepare their answers. Then can can individually introduce themselves to the whole class.

This activity is designed for A1-A2 students and helps them at the very beginning. They can practice introducing themselves and other people such as their best friends. The emphasis is mainly on the verbs ´to be´ and ´to have got´. Hope you will find it useful! 

Speaking Activity Set 1 (Introducing yourself)

This worksheet is for 8-9 year old pupils. The idea is that the teacher can test if they acquired the basic skills necessary for a simple communication (greetings, age, name, gender, thanking, expressing preferences) and some basic vocabulary items like parts of the body, colours, school objects and meanwhile the pupils don\'t even quite notice that they are tested, because the items are composed in a fun, engaging, quest-like manner - hence I didn\'t include evaluation (they should do it for fun, not just for the result itself), but you can adjust it to your preferences.
