SHAPES TWISTER GAME

For ESL students of all ages and early primary school aged students learning colours and 2D shapes. Key words used in this workbook are big, small, large and little, next to, basic colours and shapes

5 years old. Have fun with your groups! Use it as a dictation, ask the kids to first take the pencil in the correct colour, show the class, count and aloow them to colour. Do the same going shape after shape, and also dezcribe what is in the picture. Create a story with it. This workseeht could last a whole week doing a bit everyday.

This worksheet is best done with a teacher's help, if the child can't read proficiently by themselves.  Otherwise, this would be a good worksheet to hand out and guage how well each child can read and understand simple directions.

Basic Shapes Worksheet

A worksheet to help when learning colours and shapes. There are some less common shapes. There is an answer the question exercise on page 2, and students are asked to name items that could be the shapes they have learned.

5 x A4 shape cards. Green Triangle, orange circle, brown  square, grey heart, yellow diamond.  These were designed for sorting on to.  I have Early learning centre dino Tub, 48 mini dinosaurs which match the colours on the cards so that you can discuss colours, numbers, matching and sorting etc, but could be used for I.D, vocab, etc

Produce clear, well-structured, detailed text on complex subjects, using linking phrases (=words that connect ideas between sentences). Main grammar points to know: inversion, mixed conditionals, modals in the past, all passive forms, phrasal verbs (all patterns), wish/if only for regrets

Learners who can smoothly communicate in every walk of life, read long texts and write well

Learners taking the C2 Proficient exam should be able to:<ul><li>Understand almost everything read or heard with ease.</li><li>Summarize information from a variety of sources into a coherent presentation.</li><li>Express themselves using precise meaning in complex scenarios.</li><li>Can express him/herself spontaneously, very fluently and precisely, differentiating finer shades of meaning even in the most complex situations</li></ul>
