WordSearch Stationary School Stuff

Students play in pairs. Print a board for each pair in the class.  Use small plastic colored poker chips to shoot with.  Take turns flicking a coin with your finger on to the board.  Say the word and then color the square.  If the coin lands on a square which is already colored or the coin goes off the board, the players turn is over and the other players shoots.  If a coin lands between 2 spaces the other player decides which square the coin is mostly in.  When all of the squares have been colored the game is over and the player with the most squares colored is the winner.

The instructions are in Spanish but may be changed to your own language. I've used lots of pictures to make it more interesting.

First, explain stationary items. Next, if students have not yet learned "how many," explain the grammar before handing out the worksheet. Handout the worksheet and have students practice the phonics of stationary items. Give them 10 minutes to fill in the blanks with the number of items they see in each picture and the name of the stationary item. *6 pencils
Finally, have them present their answers and/or ask their partners.
