A worksheet to be used as a warmer or cooler. Students pair up and help each other write as many words as possible starting with a letter given by the teacher or another student. The teams have to figure out when they dare say "Stop!".

Worksheet which wants children to know what bullying is, by learning some vocabulary and reading a real case about Diego, a Spanish kid who commited suicide. There are questions about the text and a writing activity.

Stop Bullying

1. 2 or more players.

2.  Each player has the sheet in front of them, and a pen or pencil.

3.  Each player, in his/her turn begins to recite the alphabet, with "A" being said out loud, and the rest of the letters are unheard.

4.  A designated player, calls, "STOP!"  The player that recited the letter, must stop and announce the letter he/she reached.  If that letter hasn't been in the game yet, then it is used.  If it has been played, the process repeats itself.

5.  Once an "unused" letter is picked, each player begins to fill out the sheet with words (1 per category).  The player that completes the whole row, he/she calls, "STOP!" and the game is over.

6.  Players go over their words together.  			

If a category is left blank, the score for that category is, 0.

If a word was used by more than one player for the same category, the score is 5 (while players who used different words, get a score of 10).

If different words, for the same category, were used by all players, the score is, 10.

If one player only gets a word in a category, and everyone else doesn't, that player gets a score of 15.

7. The winner is the player that accumulates the most points at the end of the game (usually once the sheet is filled).



PLEASE NOTE: you can adjust, change, and play around with the categories according to the levels of your students, and based on specific topics learned.

I used this with my Prescholers and they loved it. Once they learned some movement verbs, I used this traffic light for the Stop & Go game. If I show the green man, they can do the action, if i show the red man, they cannot do it. 
They all made their own traffic light and played among themselves.

With this activity the teacher will provide to his/her students a brainstorming of vocabulary. They will need to think in English, write and Speak in English. It is suitable for all levels. The file is editable and you can choose any category.

The preparation is simple and you may reward the winner if you want!

Conversation Activity STOP

Category Game. Each player chooses a category and you got through the alphabet and try and fill in each categories. The first to complete all categories can shout 'Stop the Bus' and the others have to stop.

This is a game you can play with students to practice vocabulary. It can be very funny and good to learn new words with our students. 

1. Choose a letter

2. Fill every blank with the category that corresponds (Using the letter previously chosen).

3. The first student that completes the whole categories must say "STOP"

4. Everyone must stop writing.

5. Everyone shares the words and give 100 points per word. In case there are students who wrote the same words, the points will only be 50.

6. At the end, you count the total of points and the person who has more points will be the winner.

This game is a fun way to train vocabulary for students of all levels. 

It is a poster to remind students to stop bullying. You can place it on the walls in the classroom, cafeteria, hallways, etc. This poster can make the student learn the reasons to stop bullying.
