To help my students write on their christmas routine. They have to use frequency adverbs and make sentences about the way they usually spend their christmas holiday.

Routine

The series "For or Against" is intended to stimulate discussion for advanced students. Before the teacher gives the students the worksheet, they should make a list together on the board. Then they can discuss in pairs, or in small groups, the statements of the worksheet. There is always a page that brings vocabulary to discuss and argue.

How does a VPN work?

The definition of "VPN" is Virtual Private Network. To understand what a VPN is, you need to know what an IP address is as well. An IP address ("Internet Protocol") is a unique and unrepeatable number that identifies a computer connected to the Internet



The number in your IP address is made up of four number combinations that refer to the country you are in or the type of network you are using (for example "124.28.16.180"). This would be like the zip code on your computer or phone.



An IP address is required to circulate information over the Internet, but unfortunately, it is this IP address that causes your geographic location to be shared with any website you try to access.



That's why VPN is important: VPN providers have servers located in different parts of the world, which makes it possible to redirect the flow of virtual information. This way you can use another IP address from those servers and thus hide your original IP. In other words, a VPN will allow you to navigate incognito. For example, you can unblock Netflix or unblock YouTube.



At the same time, a VPN service encrypts your data traffic, i.e. it applies encryption (such as a password) to the flow of your information. This protects your information and guarantees your virtual anonymity.
