This worksheet is to test syllable from grade 1 students. It asks them to define the word, to write the word under each picture and put / to show syllable and sort out one, two or three syllable words.

The First Syllable Type

A small ponunciation card for elementary to pre-intermediate students to help with the tricky "s" pronunciation endings on certain words. Tell the students just to practise pronouncing the words and to save the question on vocabulary until the activity is finished. The instrctions are on the cards. This is a pairwork activity. Repeat it with them from time to time until they start improving.
