This is an exercise for practising grammar and vocabulary for language exams in tourism. The topic can also be interesting for people dealing with catering.

The students in elementary school may learn about fruit and it tastes. The students should be able to identify the fruit name, and it tastes like sweet, sour, bitter, salty, fresh, etc. Then, they can play someone who by researching what fruit does a friend like. It promotes more practice in the target language.

Idioms related to taste - sense

Students classify the food items into the categories of tastes by cutting and pasting the vocabulary. The vocabulary is only in words, there are no pictures included.

With this worksheet you can ask your young students to express their opinion on what tastes or smells good or bad for them. Aside from training the two senses, it encourages students to give their opinions with the "I like / I don't like" structure.

This is a little session of video studying I created for a student I do private lessons with. But it also works well with a whole class: and they love watching videos at school! 

It is mainly oral comprehension, and is nice to start an interesting discussion with the students.

Vocabulary translation is in French, but feel free to use it as you wish. 

The aim is to arouse the interest of the student with the topic of music, talking about his/her tastes and personality. This video teaches a lot of things and not only English: the science of Music. I also imagined questions that would make the student question those facts: "am I really defined by what I listen to?"
