A 5 person ESL theatre/skit. Using the theme of a vacation and 4 unsuspecting passengers find themselves landing in a vacation spot they had not imagined. This can be used in larger classes that are divided into groups of 5. It includes humour and how to set the secene.

Pupils have to cut the labels below the worksheet and stick them on both sketches of the Globe Theatre. At the end of this recreational activity they would master the vocabulary of playhouses.

My dictation exercise includes listening, writing, speaking and scanning and comprehension. There are four sheets to my dictation exercise. 

1.	An article sheet for you to read to the student. 
2.	A vocabulary sheet for the student, send this to the student. 
3.	A question-and-answer (Q&A) sheet for the student. This is also sent to the student. 
4.	A question sheet for you to read to the student. 

I suggest you copy and paste into four different documents. The question-and-answer sheet can be used for other dictations. 

I convert the vocabulary, and question and answer sheet to pdf format, as the student’s device doesn’t need MS Word installed for it to display or print. 

Send or give the vocabulary sheet and Q&A to the student. Dictate the questions to the student. Then check they’ve written them fully by asking them to read the questions they’ve written. Be aware some will attempt to write only a couple of key words! Next you read the article to the student, but not too fast. I usually read it twice, maybe emphasizing the answers. Finally, you ask the student the questions and check their answers.  Maybe re-read the relevant part so they can hear the answer.

 ,,The Visit” is a sketch written by the Romanian well known playwright  - I. L. Caragiale.

  Ionel Popescu is an eight year old boy,  a very naughty boy, whose behaviour shows the wrong education that he was getting from his family; he does make foolish things for his age, unintentionally. It proves that he’s a child that makes no difference between good and evil, what’s allowed and what’s forbidden.

It can be used in the classrom when we talk about good/bad behavior, habits,  as role plays, drama and improvisation activities.
