A  worksheet to accompany the new song from Ed Sheeran.   listening to the actual song  firstly have them check to see if they were correct and then circle the correct word. Then they have to uderstand the meaning of the prouns while also working on irregular verbs.  Enjoy

Castle on the Hill - Ed Sheeran - Song Gap Fill

1.Cut out and laminate the word cards. Pick one at random and find the picture representing the word. You can colour the cards or mark words with colourful stamps for even more fun! 

2. Pick a word at random and read it aloud or use it in a sentence. The rest of the group has to find the word on the sheet. Whoever can do it the fastest wins! 

3. Cut the word cards in the marked places and tear them off. Don't worry - it doesn't have to look good. Glue the words next to the pictures that represented them. Now you have an awesome dictionary you can use to memorise words.

4. If you laminate the sheet, you can use the worksheet multiple times and use washable markers to mark the words.

Find it  - Food

This worksheet is perfect for the pupils who learn Eglish and German. The students must match the German wordcombinatons with English ones. The worksheet contains the vocabulary which is used at the English lesson. Hope you find them useful.

Lessonactivities

Here's the kind of sheet I use with my students to write down their bonus points.

Students form a team  of 4 and gain bonus points during the lesson by participating and achieving written tasks. The first team to reach 20 points wins and stops the other teams' counters. I then pass in the groups to calculate and write down the number of bonus points they have and transform them into a mark, out of 20.

This is a listening exercise which I use with my B2 students so as to give them some extra listening practice. The actual recording that accompanies the worksheet can be found on the BBC site, The English We Speak.

The studenys are given the handout and I let them read it over, just in case there is any vocabulary that needs to be explained. I do not however explain the expression which is the backbone of the listening task.

Afterwards I usually play the recording. If the students are a bit weaker I let them listen to the recording twice.



I have included a scanned copy of my answer sheet with my handwriting on it. I hope it's helpful. Sorry if there is some Greek written on it here and there.

The activity is based on the book New English File - Beginners.    Students ask themseleves questions and answer them - name, surname, country, city, the room they are in and whether they are late or not - they apologize or not.
