What are they doing?

I created this board game for my young learners to practice the present continuous tense and possessive adjectives. They have to make affirmative sentences with the characters on the pictures and the action verbs provided. When they find an asterisk they should also use the corresponding possessive adjective. For example:

Mr. and Mrs. Sharp are washing their clothes in the Laundromat.

Charlie Harris is doing his exercises in the Health Club. 

Alex Molina is feeding his dog, etc.

What did they do ?

This is an activity in which students have to match the character with the description of their clothes. The characters are well known cartoons, so kids feel really motivated to work.

Hi, here is one of my last contributions of the school year, the holidays are round the corner! Students have to complete with CAN or CAN'T according to the meaning and match the sentences to the pictures.

What can they do?

A great picture with some exercises: true or false, match-up, choose the right preposition, then write some sentences. There is another picture on page 2 for fast finishers. 

A nice little picture. They have to read the sentences and decide who is being described. Then they answer the questions. A nice bit of practice for the present continuous tense.

Main grammar points to know: inversion, mixed conditionals, modals in the past, all passive forms, phrasal verbs (all patterns), wish/if only for regrets

Learners who can smoothly communicate in every walk of life, read long texts and write well

Learners taking the C2 Proficient exam should be able to:<ul><li>Understand almost everything read or heard with ease.</li><li>Summarize information from a variety of sources into a coherent presentation.</li><li>Express themselves using precise meaning in complex scenarios.</li><li>Can express him/herself spontaneously, very fluently and precisely, differentiating finer shades of meaning even in the most complex situations</li></ul>
