As I have always been fascinated by the Victorian Times, I decided to prepare this worksheet to help my students understand how this period influenced ours. Hope you'll find it useful and interesting too

VICTORIAN TIMES

Listen to the story - Little Red Riding Hood. Then, number the pictures according to the story and name the characters.

Story Time

They read the sentences and decide which picture is intended. Then they answer the questions. Also, a  small word search for early finishers. I include the key to the word search.

Produce clear, well-structured, detailed text on complex subjects, using linking phrases (=words that connect ideas between sentences). Main grammar points to know: inversion, mixed conditionals, modals in the past, all passive forms, phrasal verbs (all patterns), wish/if only for regrets

Learners who can smoothly communicate in every walk of life, read long texts and write well

Learners taking the C2 Proficient exam should be able to:<ul><li>Understand almost everything read or heard with ease.</li><li>Summarize information from a variety of sources into a coherent presentation.</li><li>Express themselves using precise meaning in complex scenarios.</li><li>Can express him/herself spontaneously, very fluently and precisely, differentiating finer shades of meaning even in the most complex situations</li></ul>
