Students must write the words in the correct order to come up with a proper sentence. They will yse the pictures as a guide.

Unscramble the sentences

The words have been scrambled (some people say jumbled!) Anyway, the words are mixed up. All sentences are either present continuous tense, or resent simple tense. There is a key included. 

They unscramble the sentences and then say which tense features. A full key is ncluded. I found this while cleaning up my documents, I must have done it some time ago. I hope it will be useful.

I created this work sheet for my beginner group who are practicing writing sentences. All these sentences are in the past, shedding light in irregular past tenses.

This is a worksheet that I made to compliment a presentation about the usage of the definite article or its omittance. A2 students may find this a little bit challenging so I recommend that they work in groups to complete it and that they use dictionaries where needed. The answers can be found on the second page. 

Definite Article or Zero Article Sentence Unscramble

Students must unscramble 10 words related to Valentine's Day. Then they must fill in the blanks with the vocabulary learned in the sentences below the scrambled words. Unscramble the words

A very simple listening activity to foster sentence-making skills. Students listen to the song "Price Tag" and try to unscramble the words to make correct sentences at some parts of the lyrics. I personally prefer to make them listen to the song two times.
2 important points:
* Since this material was designed for Turkish-speaking students, I added Turkish explanation for the instruction in the brackets. You can delete or edit that as you wish :)
* There was one little bad word in the song lyrics, I censored it :)

Unscrambling Words - Sentence Making (Price Tag)

The present simple tense is used to talk about something that is true in the present, something that happens regularly in the present, or something that is fixed in the future. We use do and does to make questions and negatives with the present simple. We add an -s to the verb for the third person singular (she/he/it).

Use language flexibly and effectively for social, academic and professional purposes. Understand a wide range of demanding, longer texts. Produce clear, well-structured, detailed text on complex subjects, using linking phrases (=words that connect ideas between sentences). Main grammar points to know: inversion, mixed conditionals, modals in the past, all passive forms, phrasal verbs (all patterns), wish/if only for regrets

Learners who can smoothly communicate in every walk of life, read long texts and write well

Learners taking the C2 Proficient exam should be able to:<ul><li>Understand almost everything read or heard with ease.</li><li>Summarize information from a variety of sources into a coherent presentation.</li><li>Express themselves using precise meaning in complex scenarios.</li><li>Can express him/herself spontaneously, very fluently and precisely, differentiating finer shades of meaning even in the most complex situations</li></ul>
