Practice the pattern of want (person) to by unscrambling the sentences. Can be done in pairs, in groups, or even individually

This is an excercise for elementary english students who want to practice verb to be. I prepared it for teen students, thats why I chose the movie Inside Out. We also worked later on feelings and emotions.

verb to be

This is "to be" sentence practice for beginners. The objective is to write either the singular "It is a" or the plural "They are" sentence structures. Examples are:

It is a dog. They are cats. It is a pencil. They are coins. etc.



The question form is introduced on the second page: "Is it?" and "are they?", and students must answer the question depending on whether it matches the picture. For example;



(A picture of a cat is shown) Question: Is it a cat? Answer: "Yes, it's a cat."



(Flowers are shown) Question: Are they fruits? Answer: "No, they are flowers." etc.
