Idea for Warm Up Activity

A pair work activity which can be used as a warm-up or mini drill. I use it while discussing section 5B of English File Upper 3rd. I included suggested answers. Hope you'll find it useful. 

Regrets (Wish) mini drill/warm up

This is a warm-up game to boost student's critical thinking. Good to use in elementary school, but it may also work with adults. There is also a visual dictionary that can be printed as cards if necessary.  

What’s the missing word? (warm-up)

A quick warm-up exercise based on the "find someone who" format with questions concerning the events of the Christmas break. 



A nice way to begin the first lesson after New Year. Just distribute one worksheet per student and ask them to walk around the room and find people who meet the given criteria. Finding such people is not enough. They need to ask for some details.



Remember to get some feedback after the exercise is done.
