Spot the Difference. Use this to get students to compare and contrast pictures, recognize nouns, adjectives, and prepositions of place. Suitable as a warmup activity or game.

Warmer Activity for Kids: Spot the Difference.

A nice little pairwork activity that can be used to improve your students' vocabulary. In pairs one person invents sample sentences using the idioms and the other tries to guess the meaning. 



If you have a very big class you could adapt this to be you giving the examples and the whole class trying to guess the meaning.





B2 Idioms Guessing Game (Warmer / Pairwork activity)

Students will practise saying Yes/No and come up with Yes/No questions. Now in our school, we have a Games Club. It is so fun to play. My students love it every time I play those games.

This dice game can be an excellent warmer or a mind break activity for elementary English students of any age. To take it a step further, ask the students to make true/false sentences with the corresponding nouns.

This dice game can be an excellent warmer or a mind break for upper-intermediate and advanced English students. The questions prompt them to reflect on the current week and also revise the Present Perfect Simple and Continuous tenses.
 

A Warmer or Mind Break for Upper-Intermediate and Advanced English Students

a. The worksheets are completely editable. It can be used for warmer, filler, or even communicative controlled practice. 

b. Since warmer usually takes approximately 15-20 minutes, teacher can give two or three questions for each student.
