Questions words, Wh-words

This is a fill-in dialogue, very easy to do, with the necessary orientation of the teacher or tutor. As soon as the dialogue is ready, the teacher will help the student: 1) to read it with the right pronunciation; 2) to learn by heart by asking the pupil to repeat after the teacher.

Rehearsals then can proceed and be recorded, may be acted out.

At the end of this activity, there is a great possibility that the student will know the WH-words, by drilling the dialogues and acting out.

2 pages. I know there are plenty of worksheets on the subject, but I had to make this one using words and expressions that my students already know. I didn't even use "why" because they haven't learned that one yet. Anyway, I had a LOT of work making this, so I thought I should share. Maybe it's useful for some of you! Wh- Words and Questions

This worksheet is about Walt Disney´s life and it is devided into paragraphs. The students will learn/review wh words first. Next, they will read the first paragraph, write down the vocabulary they don´t understand. They will anwser questions related to the paragraph they just read. There are 4 paragraphs. The last two activities are: synonym match and discuss questions.

Use of WH words. What are the basic question words and how is each one used. Students need to learn the meaning and the grammatical formation of questions. This is a basic and important grammar gpoint.

This Worksheet is a very useful way to practice the different Wh words using the Present of BE. Students will be able to think of the correct wh word by reading the underline word in every answer. I have worked with this one and you'll see that it will work for you, too. Please leave your comments about it.

Wh Words - Present of BE

Before presenting these exercises to Ss, make sure you have identified some vocabulary with which they migth have some problems to understand it.
This activty can be done in 4 classes whitin 50 minuts each. Introduce seven questions per class to Ss along with the answers but leave blanks for Ss to fill them in. Help Ss to practice those questions no matter if they are seen the answers Then, to conclude with the first part of this topic, Write on the board the first part of the written text that is form using the answers. 
In the following class, introduce some more question as far as you think it is convenient for students. Try not to overwhelm them with so much information.
Third class, ask some questions from previous classes to Ss to reinforce their learning. Then, continue with the rest of the qustions that yo have in the worksheet and do not foget to use the answers to write a paragraph with them.
At last, make the unision of the three paragraphs to form a written text with the whole questionnaire as it is shown in the worksheet.
