This is a worksheet to practice directions and propositions.  I begin with teaching prepositions:  In; On; above; below; etc.  I drop a pencil under the desk and ask where is my pencil? I ask where am I standing?  Where is Michael sitting?  "Between Anna and Lynn"  Then we look at the map.  And we talk about the vocab:  seamstress; hair stylist; ice rink; etc.  And only then do I go to the questions.

This is a task based on the topic food. It has three activities where the students are going to do a brainstorming, then create a menu for a restaurant, and complete the food pyramid. I hope your students like this task!

Food task

This is something I worte myself. It can be used as a dictation or reading comprehension. I used it as a dictation where the students had to listen to me read and then write. You could also have the do it in pairs. After the activity, I got the students to draw a picture of the boy and colour it in, which was fun as the boy is a very unusual boy :D I used it with adults, and it can definitely be used for children. enjoy!

Learners should go through the menu card first. Then, there are phrases said by a customer or a waiter/waitress, where the learners should put them into the correct colomn. Last, they should write a restaurant-dialouge according to the phrases and the menu. I usually divide the class into small groups to do the exercises and create a creative dialogue and they have to do a role play (heading "at a restaurant").

This is a simple grammar worksheet where students select the correct verb (play/go/do) to use with different sports. I created it for a group of kids with mixed beginner to elementary level abilities as an in-class activity that can be taken home as a study aide.

This is a sheet i made where students can interactively talk to each other, describe the other members of the class using adjectives and then have the fun of seeing if the words match the people's characteristics. 



What you can also do is some of the characteristics are blank, you can simply make them happen to match the students star sign...keeps it more interesting for them, as I am a middle school teacher and anything that keeps their attention AND using English is good!
