This word sort is used to assess students' understanding of the soil unit vocabulary and soil features.  

Soil Word Sort

Students will sort the words based on the two different sounds of the letter C. This is a quick practice sheet after teaching the rule. Can be given as homework.

Soft and Hard C Word Sort

This is a very easy listening for children. There are 2 exercises. Firstly, the students have to number the pictures in the order they hear them mentioned. Then they are going to listen again and underline the correct word.

Students find the right word for each item and make sentences using prepositions. Ex : The gloves are under the chair.

What a mess in Van Gogh's bedroom

There are three exercices . 1. The students have to add a prefix to each of the  words to make new words. 2. They have to write the negative form of the words using the prefixes. 3. They have to add a suffix to each of the words to make new words.

Crosswords - Pets and farm animals

Students have to match the animal words and pictures and then sort them into farm, wild and pet animals.

Making questions - Why? - Because

(two versions - three pages) I used this worksheet as a follow up activity after teaching "used to" and "would" for past habits. The students listen to the song once and number the pictures in the correct order. Then they listen again and complete the lyrics with the past simple of the irregular verbs in the song. In the second version they have to sort a number of words into rhyming pairs and then complete the lyrics with these words. I have also included a few comprehension questions.
