An exercise in which the students are supposed to rewrite the sentences using the words in brackets. It might be useful especially for people who are getting ready for exams such as FCE, CAE, etc.

SENTENCE TRANSFORMATIONS 1

A worksheet to practice/revise Present Simple. The exercises include: sentence transformation, writing about pictures, putting words into the correct order, writing sentences about a table. Hope you can use it!

Read the sentences and rephrase them using the words given.

Rephrasing 6 [Key included]

Taking vocabulary as/like/ as if/though from FCE Gold Unit 3 and reviewing content from Unit 2, this activity practices Use of English Part 4 Sentence Transformation from the FCE Use of English test.

Use between 2 to 5 words to transform the sentence.

Cut into strips and work with a partner, or give one to each student in the class and use as a mixer.

This is a worksheet aimed at lower levels. the students have to rearrange the words to make a correct sentence, paying particular attention to whether it is a positive or negative sentence or a question.

USE OF ENGLISH FCE/ CAE

One more part of the task that helps me challenge my students to ask questions. The task is to find out some information about the person. The problem is that students are not given a question form structure. They need to read, understand and make up a nice question on their own. This part is created for beginner and elementary level students.
