Phonics Word Spinner - UG

Exercises of word form is a difficult exercise. This exercise is suitable for the level of Intermediate (B1) and Upper-intermediate (B2). This exercise helps the students know how to review the usage of word form such as: noun, adjective, adverb, verb in English.

This word search includes 20 vocabulary words that are all associated with Mahatma Gandhi. Words are written in all directions including backwards and diagonally. Word searches are great for practising spelling. This resource can be used as an opening for discussion, or simply just for fun!

Mahatma Gandhi Word Search

It's an activity I do for revision of target vocabulary. These are words that I needed for my students but of course you can do it with any vocabulary you like. First students work individually and they match the words with the explanations. Then they work in pairs and read the explanations to their partners. They should guess the words and try to use them in a sentences. I usually do this as a competition so in the end the pair with the most correct answers is the winner.

Students must go on a "word hunt" through different books about the solar system and outer space. They must choose at least 6 (but up to 10) outer space words (i.e. planet, moon, orbit, sun, Earth, star, etc). Then they will choose their favorite outer space word, write it, and draw a picture.

Main grammar points to know: inversion, mixed conditionals, modals in the past, all passive forms, phrasal verbs (all patterns), wish/if only for regrets

Learners who can smoothly communicate in every walk of life, read long texts and write well

Learners taking the C2 Proficient exam should be able to:<ul><li>Understand almost everything read or heard with ease.</li><li>Summarize information from a variety of sources into a coherent presentation.</li><li>Express themselves using precise meaning in complex scenarios.</li><li>Can express him/herself spontaneously, very fluently and precisely, differentiating finer shades of meaning even in the most complex situations</li></ul>
