Use this to create compound words. I had the students match up one half of a plastic egg to another with words written on them. When they found a word they wrote it down.

The first sheet is a matching activity for words with the long oo sound and images.
The next part splits some common oo words into two groups for the short and long sounds. Sounds should be drilled. Note, there are not images to explain all of the short oo word meanings. 
 Below the words are a few short sentences for reading practice. These assume that the learner knows 'like'. 
 The last activity describes 2 jobs using some oo words, then asks 'what is the job'? Learners may not be familiar with 'joiner', so this may be a new word to learn. You may want to delete that question.

This is a simple word matching exercise. Children are tasked to match six words to their pictures. Words are related to Christmas. Only one solution is possible.

The object of the game is to find the matching nouns (words and pictures), and become the first to fill his/hers playing board(s). For 2 to 4 players. 

Pages 2-5 are the playing boards. Cut them out and give one or more to each player. Pages 6-9 contain the playing cards which have to be cut out into 64 cards. If you want, laminate the cards.
