To practise the definite and indefinite article making sentences for the pictures as in the example given. It helps students to understand that once they have mentioned a noun, they can use the definite article, but the first time they use it, they must use the definite form A / AN. The last pictures in the task given are examples of unique things such as The Earth or the Solar System.
