Hello!
Hello learners! I'm very pleased to see you here. ^_^

"I believe that education is not only a key to success but also a door for discovering the real essence of life."

I know that you are looking for something fun, interesting and adventurous life. You want to make sure that there are so many things that life can offer and that can include eating a savory food, going to wondrous places, hanging out with friends, listening to music and continuously loving your family. I am certain too that you are making sure that your education and your learning is not left behind. That is why you always want to find ways to learn something new each day. I, too, looking for something that makes me energized.

I'm currently working as ESL teacher. I've been dealing with middle school and high school Korean learners for 2 years now. My career is very challenging because I have to deal with diverse learners. Truthfully, it is not an easy job. I have to consider so many things how would I deal with them. There are three things I've been doing since my teaching career:

Behavior. This is an important part of giving an attention with. The behavior of the student. I might be funny, lively teacher yet I need to be conscious about my students' behavior. Just because I have the total control of my class, it does not mean to say they have to follow me all the time. As a teacher, understanding is more important to me. Understanding the feeling of the student allows me to touch and connect with them. Yet, as a student, you have to be sensitive enough to consider your behavior if is it appropriate to bring your unlikely behavior in the classroom.

Respect. You can earn some respect, too. Respecting each one of us is a fundamental principle of humanity. I encourage the learners to express what is on their mind and feel free to share their opinion. It is not about who will talk and who will get the right answer. It is about you have the right to be heard and your idea is acceptable. I respect my students and I showed it to them and they know that they deserved it.

Listen. I love this word. Yes, I also love the above two words yet this one is my favorite because it takes gut level to listen to someone who is talking. I've noticed to my students that they are hesitant about their answers and they don't want to share that yet I don't want to it to happen in my class. I want to know what's their personal opinion about this topic or what do they know about this particular topic. I understand that learning a language is difficult and it might be hard but this is not only your excuse to always say "it's hard, I can't do it," this is the time for you to be creative and a thinker because your teacher is allowing you to speak up and your teacher is there patiently listening to you. That's why listen is just important to me because I know that students have wonderful ideas yet I have to remind them that sometimes their ideas can also unacceptable for it could be irrelevant or out of the topic. It is also good too if they can relate it to their real-life experience.

This much, I think I have just spoken out my way of how I handled my students. There are still more! I wanna share it to you, too!
