I prepared this ppt to help my students understand clauses of result with so/such...that, as well as the use of ´too´ and ´enough´ (adverbs of degree). I tried to give some clear explanations with many examples. (11 slides) 

Clauses of result (so - such...that) & Adverbs of degree (too - enough)

The aim is to react to the photos by answering the questions asked, in order to give an explanation for the situation. The present perfect continuous must be used.

On a second go the situation can be analysed using other tenses, such as the present perfect simple, or even the past simple. And why not describe the photos with the present continuous?

Present perfect continuous

Because is a subordinating conjunction. It shows the cause. So is a coordinating conjunction. It shows the effect.



We can combine two clauses using because and so.



Study the example given below.



Susie didn’t attend the party. She was not invited.



We can combine these two clauses in two different ways.



Susie didn’t attend the party because she was not invited.

Susie was not invited, so she did not attend the party.

Simple past

Here an effective short presentation about 1st conditional. To start with, there is the description of the structure, then the tenses required, the importance of the comma, the use of 'unless' and 'might', with some clear nice examples. Hope you enjoy it!

1ST CONDITIONAL 

It is a zoom friendly version of practicing the structure of the four types of conditionals. The first part of the sentence is given and there are three or four choices of ending it. The students mark the correct version. This goes particularly well while having a zoom lesson and sharing the screen. Students can use the annotations to mark the answer.

Conditional Practice

I suggest viewing the PPTX file directly because there are bars covering many examples and exercises. The teacher is supposed to be telling a story and the bars fade out as the teacher narrates the situations (to frame the meaning correctly). The animations are slow so that they can be noticed over Zoom (which greatly reduced the frames per second). The presentation is a tiny bit more focused on meaning than form in my opinion.

Produce clear, well-structured, detailed text on complex subjects, using linking phrases (=words that connect ideas between sentences). Main grammar points to know: inversion, mixed conditionals, modals in the past, all passive forms, phrasal verbs (all patterns), wish/if only for regrets

Learners who can smoothly communicate in every walk of life, read long texts and write well

Learners taking the C2 Proficient exam should be able to:<ul><li>Understand almost everything read or heard with ease.</li><li>Summarize information from a variety of sources into a coherent presentation.</li><li>Express themselves using precise meaning in complex scenarios.</li><li>Can express him/herself spontaneously, very fluently and precisely, differentiating finer shades of meaning even in the most complex situations</li></ul>
