This Powerpoint moves from drawing on the students' personal frames of reference to prediction to vocab related to the topic.

Although it is meant to be an English subject resource, it can be use quite effectively in across the curriculum topics which explore a similar topic.

I have used this powerpoint to encourage speaking, the use of new vocabulary and to spur both expository and imaginitve writing. I also use it as an introduction lesson to the theme 'Robots and the Future'.
