Activity 1: Students are going to try to find the suspects according to clues about physical appearance.

Activity 5: Finding antonyms.

Appearance & Personality

Physical descriptions using pictures of famous people. Works great with teenagers because they can recognize the celebrities. There is an activity at the end where they have to describe someone in the classroom and everyone has to guess who it is.

Describing People

An easy PowerPoint introduction for descriptions of people, with intermittent slides of cartoon people so you can ask students about them. I recommend applying these characteristics (age, gender, hair color etc.) to the individual students as you work through the PowerPoint to make it more personal. Hope it helps!
