A selection of English ESL past simple tense ppt slides

Boardgame with 29 action verbs with questions. Students roll the dice and go ahead the corresponding number of squares. If the square was already answered, they go to the next unanswered one. Click on the number, students answer the question. Click on the button "check" to see the answer and "house" to return to the board.



If the answer is right, they keep the square; if the answer is wrong, they return to the square they were before rolling the dice. The winner is who finishes the boardgame first.

Easy 1st lesson for pre-intermediate to revise simple past. The aim is for them to be able to speak about their holidays in a simple way. Then we move on from here to more elaborate requirements.

I made this to revise past tenses for my students. It is very simple because only talks about holiday's activities. The vocabulary is also quite limited, here I emphasize on past to be, and simple past, both regular and irregular verbs. Hopefully, it can help you to teach the same material.

My Last Holiday Exercise - For Young Learners

It is a controlled practice for Past Simple. This version requires the correct form of the verb but you can change the level with a few differences. You can make the sentences scrambled for example.
