It's an introduction to past simple. I use it to remind them the usage of verb to be and to start teaching the past of be.

Finally, I worked out a continuation of the previous presentation, which is also suitable for interactive white boards. It begins with a simple explanation (have to be commented, but very simply), which is followed by a funny story which is followed by a game (multiple choise). Please, click on the balloons (not the text)  in this game to let it work properly. In the end you can find an extra exercise to revise the spelling rules of past simple.

Well this board can be projected on the screen of a big TV or intelligent board and have fun with students asking and answering questions. What you may do is to bring the power piont presentation, some dice, one for eac pair of students and ask them to take turns and ask and answer the game questions. This power point aims to teach students more about the life stories of famous or iconic people. The lesson starts with a guessing game where students are given several clues along with a distorted cartoon of the person to guess who it is. The second part of the lesson practices the past simple tense by reading a short bio of three iconic men in history. Students have to change the missing verbs to the past simple tense.
