Reported Speech

This presentation consists of rules for transforming direct into reported speech with one sentence of example for each tense. After that, there is a guessing game in which students first need to recognize famous people, say something about them and then match them with their quotes. After matching quotes and speakers, they report the quotes.

It is followed by a series of two exercises consisting of comic strips which must be put into the reported speech.

This is a powerpoint to show students the most important changes of reported speech, using the series How I met your mother to activate them. Direct speech is put into reported speech, with tense, pronouns, time and place changes.
