FAMILY MEMBERS PPT

Good to review family members and genitive case. I used that with 9 year old students but it can be used with teens or adults. It is a review, so they can see the writen form and talk a little about their families.

This power point includes the basic rules for using possessive nouns and explanations with examples to place the apostrophe correctly.  It has a very short exercises in the end where students can practice what they just learned.

Whats behind that little 's? When students at some stage practice only he's got ... she's ... got all over time, there seems to be no problem. That was the topic of the lesson, after all. The trouble begins when they know something more and it's mixed in a text. To encourage my student's thinking and not to have them used to doing only certain types of tasks I created this presentation. They don't need to do anything with the sentences, just decide what does 's stand for in a given example. The right answer gets circled.
