A picture is worth a thousand words.
Try to find out what these animals have in common.
Compound nouns are words made with nouns that have been modified by adjectives or other nouns, and sometimes one word, like toothpaste, haircut, or bedroom.

The present downloadable handout is recommended for high school, elementary school and adults at Pre-intermediate (A2) level. It is a useful material for consolidating Nouns: Compound nouns in English, and can be used for working on your groups' Writing skills.
