This power point aims to teach students more about the life stories of famous or iconic people. The lesson starts with a guessing game where students are given several clues along with a distorted cartoon of the person to guess who it is. The second part of the lesson practices the past simple tense by reading a short bio of three iconic men in history. Students have to change the missing verbs to the past simple tense.

The above downloadable printable is recommended for at Pre-intermediate (A2) and Intermediate (B1) level. It is great for practising Past simple tense in English, and can be used for honing your students' Reading skills. It centers around the vocabulary topic of Describing people, People, Celebrities (stars, famous people), Human rights, racism, discrimination, Culture, intercultural communication, cross-cultural communication, Politics, voting, elections and History.
