With this presentation, students will be able to learn some common places and shops around the city. I have decided to include real pictures from London so that they can discover the capital of the UK.
Apart from the main vocabulary, they will learn to use the past simple of the verb to be in order to say where they were. For instance, “I was at the supermarket” or “We were at the cinema.”
At the end, I have included a kind of game for them to guess the places and make a sentences using the correct grammar structure.

The above downloadable teaching material is recommended for high school and elementary school at Pre-intermediate (A2) level. It is valuable for revising BE: WAS or WERE in English, and is excellent for working on your class' Spelling, Speaking and Reading skills. It is about the vocabulary topic of City.
